  • The Museum is located on Praça da Liberdade and admission is free. The architecture of the Museum draws attention right away! The stairs, the huge pilasters, Windows, huge lounges. The fact that the Museum be fully interactive is a great attraction. Almost everything can be touched/manipulated. Is a program for all ages. On the first floor there are toilets and a cafe. On the second floor you can see numerous minerals exposed (diamonds, crystals, graphite, etc.) of various colors, sizes and types. In some, to open a door for an audio that tells a little about the minerals. Like much of the Floor of Stars. On another floor, talks about the history of mining and the space has a simulator that simulates the descent to the Morro Velho mine and tells his story. On the top floor the focus is on the water. But in addition it is possible to walk in the middle of the periodic table and play view the mineral composition of your body. Worth the visit!
