Hippie Fair, Belo Horizonte

(3.9/5 based on 1,700+ reviews on the web)
You can embrace the cultural wealth of Minas Gerais with a visit to the Sunday morning Hippie Fair. Established in 1969 to showcase the works of local artists, the market remains a popular meeting place for the community. Now one of the biggest open-air markets in Latin America, there are some 3,000 stalls where you can purchase a whole range of things, from handcrafted furniture to high fashion. While prices are reasonable, haggling is common practice. Make sure you visit the center of Hippie Fair, where you will find the food vendors offering delicious local cuisine and cold beer. Our Belo Horizonte itinerary planner makes visiting Hippie Fair and other Belo Horizonte attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • I found a fair common bastatante, which could be anywhere in Brazil. Many beautiful and products with good prices, but nothing too special. What was most interesting was taking an acarajé and spend the afternoon in the municipality Park next door.

  • Even if it is not to buy are worth going, colors, sounds and smells that's worth taking a souvenir of the trip. Still think breaking original items with good price

  • The fair is big with plenty of variety, but nothing unusual. The high prices. Do not consume food, but had many stalls with various options.
