You can embrace the cultural wealth of Minas Gerais with a visit to the Sunday morning Hippie Fair. Established in 1969 to showcase the works of local artists, the market remains a popular meeting place for the community. Now one of the biggest open-air markets in Latin America, there are some 3,000 stalls where you can purchase a whole range of things, from handcrafted furniture to high fashion. While prices are reasonable, haggling is common practice. Make sure you visit the center of Hippie Fair, where you will find the food vendors offering delicious local cuisine and cold beer. • Excellent tour to do with family on Sunday morning. Tourists cannot visit. You will find everything from tents with delicious foods to handicrafts and leather parts. And best of all, very fair price!

  • The hippie fair is considered one of the best of Brazil, by its price and quality of products. Products are varied. Out the food they have at the fair. The pastry then is the best, can't help but eat it. Whenever I have to eat at least one. Brilliant! I always go to this fair when I'm in BH. Recommend!

  • I had never seen anything like this. Organized, safe and with ALL what you imagine to buy. From clothes, to all ages and types, as well as arts and crafts things for home, decor and food. Too much of everything. Costume jewelry, frames, utilities and a lot of stuff for babies. The fair closes for about 800 meters the two lanes AV. Afonso Pena only to Sun 5:00 from morning till the 14:00 hours. More than 1000 stalls. Vast majority accepts card but take money can facilitate the bargain!
