Forte do Presepio, Belem

4.5
#2 of 7 in Historic Sites in Belem
The panoramic views from the ramparts are alone well worth a visit to Forte do Presepio. Standing among the original canons, you can look out over Guajará Bay and witness, from a safe distance, the impressive flocks of vultures descending on Ver o Peso market. The fort itself is in the historic center of Belém and home to a small museum where you can take a tour and learn about the local history. A collection of ceramics and native Tupi and Marajoara artifacts dates from before the arrival of the Portuguese to the region. • Overlooking the estuary and the market, worth checking out. Inside is the guns. With guide improves, because you know the history of the construction and of our colonizers.

  • Is one of the most beautiful of Brazil, at the right angle of a beautiful picture with the market ver-o-peso in the background. It's a shame that they only open until 13:00 on Saturday. Is defácil access to bus, but advise caution in saida is little policed and stays in one place a little wilderness, I don't recommend going alone or at night.

  • The Castle of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Manger of Bethlehem, popularly referred to as the Nativity, is located on the Bay of Guajara, in the city of Belém, in the Brazilian State of Pará. Currently, on the premises of the crib, the Museum of the meeting account some of the beginning of Portuguese colonization in Amazonia. Also displays marajoara pottery pieces and objects. Within its walls are exposed old artillery pieces and ammunition. The location is easy to access and know the history of the indigenous people and can marvel at the beautiful scenery. The site is an immeasurable cultural wealth because it depicts the story of our country and the Amazon. The State of Pará is Rico in culture that needs to be known.

  • good place to visit...

  • Bonito local
  • A beautiful place to take pictures, reinforce the history and culture of para. Certainly we should give more value the treasures of Bethlehem. I feel sad to see the amount of homeless people in the area, increasing the danger mainly to those who depend on public transportation to get around.
