Categories: Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web
The panoramic views from the ramparts are alone well worth a visit to Forte do Presepio. Standing among the original canons, you can look out over Guajará Bay and witness, from a safe distance, the impressive flocks of vultures descending on Ver o Peso market. The fort itself is in the historic center of Belém and home to a small museum where you can take a tour and learn about the local history. A collection of ceramics and native Tupi and Marajoara artifacts dates from before the arrival of the Portuguese to the region. • The Fort is well near the Ver-o-Peso market and has a small museum, a few cannons that protected the site and an excellent view of the Guajará Bay

  • I found the place pretty cool and super nice for a stroll. The view of the Bay of Guajara is amazing. There is a Museum at the Fort that also goes to visit.

  • The Nativity scene is a traditional site of Bethlehem and is still well maintained, clean and organized to visit and see some of the history of Bethlehem and of Pará. It's worth it.
