Bosque Rodrigues Alves - Jardim Botanico da Amazonia, Belem
(3.5/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Stepping off one of the busiest streets in Belém into Bosque Rodrigues Alves - Jardim Botanico da Amazonia is like stepping into another world entirely. The botanical garden is a 150 sq m (1,615 sq ft) rectangle of preserved rainforest, dropped in the middle of a city. More than 80,000 species of flora and fauna can be found in the garden, including some animals in captivity--many of which are endangered--but also many more that live wild amongst the trees. Forget about the bustle of the city for a while, and lose yourself instead in the peaceful buzz of jungle life. Take a look at our Belem vacation generator to schedule your visit to Bosque Rodrigues Alves - Jardim Botanico da Amazonia and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • It's a tour that goes back to childhood lived in Bethlehem for generations. Is a little abandoned, however, the beauty of the place and that it's still a very, very nice ride. Suitable for families, couples or those who just want to enjoy a little bit of nature in the city centre. Valley extend a towel on one of the many green corridors, read a good book, chat or do a small picnic, reminding us that we should not feed the animals out there.

  • Turn on beautiful with century-old trees, a place of the forest within the city. Great environment for children and a family.

  • Also a micro Amazon rainforest within the city, the Woods is one of the urban spaces of Bethlehem pretty cool. Opened in 1883 houses more than 50000 Amazon flora species. There is also the statue of the legendary guardians of the forest Mapinguari and Curupira, Chinese kiosk, the cottage, the cave of soapstone and the monumental gate of the main entrance. Do not forget to visit.
