  • A beautiful beach but not recommend bathing, very strong waves, more used by local fishermen.

  • An inextricable piece of nature on the coast of Alagoas. A simple settlement and whose people have few resources, most are fishermen, but a beauty without equal. Lacks structure.

  • Beach paradise in a fishing village, outside of any tourist, including unrest has no structure such as kiosks. Really a wonderful landscape! But soon after arriving you can see open sewer in the streets and on the beach sewage pipes of the houses right on the sand! Oh my god! What a horrible thing! The village lacks basic sanitation. A beach paradise that you almost give up to visit because of the strong smell of sewage in access ... sad

Where to stay in Barra de Sao Miguel

Considering its relatively small population, Barra de Sao Miguel offers a decent choice of accommodation types to suit a wide set of visitors. On Avenida Moema Cavalcante Bastos, between the road and the beach, sit exclusive resort-style hotels with private beaches, bars overlooking the water, and rooms with sea views. Head west to the main streets of the Centro area, and things become a little more varied. Inland roads offer rental apartments and hostels that will suit budget travelers, as well as some simple hotels enjoying good views of the sea. Elsewhere, more exclusive options boast private areas of beach, swimming pools, and upmarket restaurants on site.
