  • This museum has a very strong power ... It shows the reality of all the Brazilian last century asylums. Discusses mental patient, the prejudice, the abandonment and neglect of patient by family and society. Describes the various forms of treatment to which they were subjected the patients of the psychiatric hospital. Shocking, I particularly leave devastated to see such cruelty.

  • Impressive! The Museum is small but with a lot of story to tell. The history of madness in Barbacena is a showcase of what's going on in Brazil. The Museum makes us reflect. The galleries with striking images and sounds of the patients are impressive.
