  • Is the quiet beach of Arraial. Almost deserted, excellent for hiking and scuba diving. Even on days with a lot watching the water is quiet due to corals around. Recommend going early, as in all the beaches of the South of Bahia, in the afternoon the tide and the sea gets more agitated with the color not always so pretty.

Where to stay in Porto Seguro

Luxury hotels and beach resorts are the name of the game when it comes to accommodations in Porto Seguro, with many tourists looking to relax and enjoy the coastal atmosphere. Most of these lie a couple of miles north of the city center, pressed up against long stretches of beach. To enjoy the party scene and get close to the best things to see in Porto Seguro, stay in the narrow streets of the old town. However, if the nightlife seems a bit too intense for your taste, consider the plentiful options in Arraial d'Ajuda--a smaller, quieter town just a couple of miles to the south.
