Praia de Manguinhos, Armacao dos Buzios

Beach
The winds over the water at Praia de Manguinhos make it an ideal spot for wind and kite surfing. Apart from wind, you'll also have warm waters and a relatively calm ocean, these are perfect conditions for hitting the water with a board and sail. However, if high intensity sports aren't your thing, there is a pier with views over the horizon and a restaurant serving up traditional food and the ubiquitous ice-cold beer. • Tranquil beach, something protected from excessive tourism high season due to multiple private condominiums that donates hinder access by bus. Warm and calm water, large expanse of sand. Unfortunately, sometimes something dirty by the location in the Cove and adjacent cities. Ida Valley.

  • I have just returned, and this time, it was one of the beaches that we attend more. There are no stops, so, we take our chairs and sunshade. Incredible peace and tranquility. Although the height of Porto da Barra, the beach is not linda by the sediments and algae, to the side of the sailing club, is beautiful. Most frequented by the buzianos, and the cariocas, who have their homes and mansions of summer there. There are kinds of water sports. Ideal for swimmers, because there are no waves. Make a recommendation to all those who like hiking and why not, some adventure...: go in the morning, (preferably, because shadow all the way) 8 am, 8.30 am, and come down to the beach at the height of Porto da Barra. They walk towards the right, all along the beach, they pass through the forest of mangue, the Pousada Barracuda, and its pier, jungle everything, but on the shores of the sea, follow and continue to turn, where are the rocks. A wonderful ride, and are going to be surprised. Bring insect repellent, hat, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes. Manguinhos is a stunning Beach, and should not be staying with the first impression. On the return, Barracuda, there is a large cement stairs, back up, and you get wonderful views of the beach and of Porto da Barra.

  • Despite the fact that the locals do not recommended it, we wanted to get to know it because on the map I saw as a very extensive and m, good uy. The get understood why: to get we had to go through very low class neighborhoods, and there the few people who had, was that they were not tourists but rather people of the place and limited economic resources. We saw the beach itself very extensive but extremely narrow (perhaps because the tide was too high, but the water reached practically the buildings). We were fleeing!
