Aldeia Hippie, Arembepe

(2.3/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
Mick Jagger and Janice Joplin once found inspiration at Aldeia Hippie, a hippie community just 30 kilometers (19 mi) from the state capital. The site, located near a small town, can be reached by a short bus ride. Nearby, in an area of unspoiled nature, you can also visit a TAMAR Project station, dedicated to research and preservation of sea turtle species threatened by extinction. Just beyond the station is a large camping area, situated on top of a sand dune and surrounded by native coconut trees and colorful thatched roofs of small huts. You can pitch your tent here and then walk to the nearby river, where you can swim, kayak, or sunbathe in complete privacy. Make Aldeia Hippie a centerpiece of your Arembepe vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Arembepe itinerary maker.

  • Beautiful and well maintained with friendly people. Has crafts, bar and House for visitation. A great opportunity to rethink his life and priorities. Worth knowing.

  • Visit the Hippie Village was very interesting. The villagers treat visitors with great sympathy and respect. It's a very hot climate, not to mention that is in a beautiful place. The beach front is amazing. At low tide form natural pools. Well worth getting to know. We didn't get to eat in the village, but has place for lunch and buy drinks, if necessary. It's simple, but it has.

  • Visit the hippie village in Arembepe makes us rethink on how to live simply. I came across the foot of the lagoon and already finding the villagers that always proved friendly! There are crafts made by themselves for selling, and there is a small bar with a beautiful view of the lagoon and coconut from the beach!
