facing the Rio Sergipe, one of the first public areas the town is one of the 3 great piazzas of Aracaju. The other two are the squares Almirante Barroso, which has beautiful Royal Palms and houses the Town Hall and Olímpio Campos, who stand behind the Square courts Fausto Carmona. In the square Olímpio Campos (the third) is the Cathedral of Aracaju. Around these squares are several historical buildings which House, among others, the City Hall, the City Council, the Legislative Council and other organs of the State and municipal governments. The Palace Fausto Cardoso is a 19 century building listed by the State Government and was the first seat of the Legislative Assembly. Currently works as a school of the legislature and Legislative Memorial Dória Seixas Quintina Diniz. The Palace and Museum Olímpio Campos preserves the originality of the work and memory of Sergipe and has public access areas, the political and cultural history of the monument and of the Republic of Sergipe. Former headquarters of the Sergipe Government and residence of the Governors. It also has restricted access areas, that work for the administration of the Palace, working meetings and ceremonies with authorities. The Museum still promotes events open to the public as photo exhibitions, exhibitions of artists, among others. Located between the squares Almirante Barroso and Fausto Carmona, facing this. The beautiful Palace has eclectic style of neoclassical influence and received a major renovation in the early 20 century, changing your front and your interior. The visitor is guided and free and the Palace has luxurious facilities, various exhibitions and the Palace.
