Praia do Japao, Aquiraz

3.9
#3 of 8 in Beaches in Aquiraz
Strikingly blue sea laps Praia do Japao, where you can sit under a thatched roof for a drink of coconut water and some just-caught seafood. This quiet beach is mostly frequented by families with children, who love to splash around the warm water while their parents picnic on the smooth sand. At low tide the sea forms several small pools near the beach. These large seawater puddles teem with fish for several hours each day, and you can catch them using nothing but your hands. This area is peaceful yet close to town and the state’s biggest water park. Stop by to enjoy some undisturbed family time in a calm place of blue seas and lush green landscape. Is the beach is approximately 30 minutes from the Centre of Fortaleza, with easy access, through the Porto das Dunas. The beach, quiet and very beautiful, depending on the tide you can enjoy natural pools.

Tranquil beach, but no big deal. It's called Japan Beach by the houses that remain around that style of Japanese houses
