Setor Historico, Antonina

(3.7/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
In 2012 the local government acknowledged the historical importance of Antonina by making its Setor Historico (Historic Sector) a heritage sight. The region was one of the earliest areas explored by the Portuguese Crown in southern Brazil, and the town owes its early prosperity to gold mining in the area. Take a walk down cobbled streets with colorful colonial houses on either side, visit the three historic churches, including the Church of Our Lady of Pilar, dating back to 1714, and try the regional dish, Barreado. Plan to see Setor Historico and other attractions that appeal to you using our Antonina vacation route planner.

  • More beautiful than the historic centre of Morretes. Worth a visit for its beautiful photographs you can get there.

  • Van ride, during the city tour with guide, stopping occasionally and explaining the story of a few buildings, such as the City Hall, for example. Well conservadinho, with some changes of structure over the years.

  • I was in the middle of summer, as there is pé de serra was 38 degrees, recommend the walk in the fall or winter. For those who like buildings in Ruins and ancient and rustic stuff is a tip. Eat well there and come back fast. If sleep better rent a place with pool. You can visit in 1 day.
