Where to stay in Angra Dos Reis

While there are plenty of accommodations in Angra dos Reis itself, the industrialized township serves best as a stopover point for travel, rather than a destination in itself. Look for lodging a few kilometers outside of town, where you'll find any number of laid-back beach resorts in pristine settings. The coast just north of town offers hotels and dive resorts, while the seafront to the south brims with beach resorts and eco lodges. You can also stay on Ilha Grande, just a short ferry ride from the main township, to immerse yourself in Brazilian island life.

  • A quiet place, very green, slow, with a very extensive Beach, advisable to take food and drinks.

  • After passing through weeds and trails between mata atlantica from Praia de Tanguazinho (amazing place) accessed Tangua where there is a Hotel very cute, is a beach more open and accessible from the road in a way more easy, I liked more Tanguazinho

  • Tanguá beach is a delight. Great for the whole family. Calm sea, clean water. Is, like the best beaches of Angra (taking the Islands, of course), in a hard to reach location. Park on the street is really hard, just arriving too early and there's still risks being fined (I didn't understand the rules of parking). One option is a private parking, but also have to get there early because the demand is great (real 20 per day). If your access is for parking you have two options of small trails: a to Tanguá Beach and another for Tanguazinho. Already comes from the main road, access is by a wooden ladder that takes you straight to Tanguá beach. This beach is the resort Villa galley. The hotel chairs in the sand, but leave room for all. The ride is worth a lot to shame!
