Gipoia Island, Angra Dos Reis
(4.7/5 based on 400+ reviews on the web)
Gipoia Island is a picturesque island where the smooth white sand melts into the crystal clear water, surrounded by the lush green forest. The water is so clear that you can actually see many of the fish and starfish without goggles. Accessible only by boat, this island is shielded from the winds, serving as a wonderful sanctuary and isolated getaway. Swim in the warm water with the fish or go snorkeling. A restaurant on the island serves fantastic seafood meals, and if you’re on boat, a floating bar will deliver your order directly to you. Put Gipoia Island into our Angra Dos Reis tourist route planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Paradise Island, the style of many of the attractions of Angra. Can be reached through Taxi Boat leaving the Praia Grande. The offset of the round trip costs around 30 to 40 reais per person (there are different companies that offer the service). On the way you can see great properties located in other islands. In 10 minutes you get to Gipoia. On arrival there is a small path that leads to the beach of the Arrows. Simply fun: calm waters and clear. The visual mix slopes full of green, sand and crystal clear waters. There is a restaurant at the end of the beach of the Arrow that charges prices more into account and that serves good food for small and large groups.

  • I went to island da gipóia sailing after 25 years, the place is so cute as always though it shows the deterioration of activity human on the island. We ate the boat food we ask in praia dentist who is also very nice. A pity so much garbage floating in the sea... see the human being is in FR process of self-destruction! We will soon end the possibility of enjoying these earthly paradises

  • This island is the famous beach of the Dentist. They said it is one of the most famous beaches. During the season the famous stop for boats there to enjoy the Sun, sea and drinks offered by "boats-bars". When we went, it wasn't season, so it was super easy. The water is very clean but cold too hehe. There's no infrastructure, so it's worth getting a little time there and then go to another island. Our tour included a stop for lunch in another island. Yields good pictures.
