Botinas Island, Angra Dos Reis
(4.7/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
Two tiny, rocky desert islands, Botinas Island are named after the Portuguese for boot, because they resemble the footwear in shape. The crystal clear waters are teeming with marine life, from fish of all sizes, to sting rays and turtles. The fish are almost fearless, so you can get right up close whilst snorkeling or diving. Make Botinas Island a part of your Angra Dos Reis vacation plans using our Angra Dos Reis travel itinerary maker.

  • From what I know, this is the best place for snorkeling in Brazil. These two small islands serve as feeder for infinite number of goldfish. The water color is light blue, transparent blue and the amount of fish is important as well as diversity. It does not compare to other Caribbean destinations, but the places of Brazil that I travel (Maragoggi, Maceió, Recife de fora in Porto seguro) this is definitely much better. The Inn where we were housed out a saveiro daily and did the walk. A few days later, we rented a boat in Group and had a good time at this place: PIN

  • It is a pair of islets which make the image of Angra, but do not have a fixed place to descend and rest. All ride has a step forced by ACE Botinas, but the only thing that can be done there is snorkeling.

  • Is the postcard of Angra. I went to the Islands (which was named by 2 high boots seem) to ride by speedboat. The focus of the site is to see the fishes. There's no stopping on the Islands. Is a quick stop, more for contemplation.
