Raizama waterfall, Alto Paraiso de Goias
(3.8/5 based on 400 reviews on the web)
Part of a 1.8-billion-year-old plateau, Raizama waterfall is one of dozens of waterfalls cascading over ancient rock formations. The water cuts so deeply into these rocks that large canyons have formed ages ago. Modern visitors often use them as diving platforms. You can jump in for a cool swim, or choose to rappel down these age-old stone walls. The trail is steep, with wooden stairs and handrails, but it’s worth the effort to see vegetation of rare jungle plants, such as 25 different species of orchids. Birds also thrive here, and you can spot and hear them flying right over your head as you climb the trail leading up to the waterfalls. • We went on it after having gone on almost all the waterfalls in the region, and by that I don't think she performed as cool as the other ... the location is kind of differentiated ...

  • It really is a waterfall in terms of raw nature is sensational. Requires careful because there are some cliffs. I don't recommend going with children. But for adults: don't be afraid to meet.

  • Raizama is really stunning! As well as the other attractions of the Chapada dos Veadeiros, the beauty and energy of the place are extremely contagious. But the tour is paid and have short duration. Recommended for groups or families, the tracks are safe and well marked. Very worth the time like all the other attractions of the Chapada dos Veadeiros.
