Raizama waterfall, Alto Paraiso de Goias

(3.8/5 based on 400+ reviews on the web)
Part of a 1.8-billion-year-old plateau, Raizama waterfall is one of dozens of waterfalls cascading over ancient rock formations. The water cuts so deeply into these rocks that large canyons have formed ages ago. Modern visitors often use them as diving platforms. You can jump in for a cool swim, or choose to rappel down these age-old stone walls. The trail is steep, with wooden stairs and handrails, but it’s worth the effort to see vegetation of rare jungle plants, such as 25 different species of orchids. Birds also thrive here, and you can spot and hear them flying right over your head as you climb the trail leading up to the waterfalls. • The site has some beautiful canyons, where you can dive. There's a waterfall between them beautiful to take photo! Just couldn't get into the canyons because there was a small snake where were going to do ... nothing to get in the way of the walk ... This is their Habitat and we must respect. There is a small waterfall to shower too. The ride is fast, easily accessible and worth knowing. The site is used for parties. The site sells drinks super cold ... buy a delicious coconut that the local employee, a super cute, opened to gte eat the pulp and told us that there are very few reports of snakes attack in the region. We were on the last day before returning to Rio ... is simple and cute!

  • Despite the farm headquarters to be a little decadent, the trail is of medium complexity since it has a considerable extension and some stairs, but the canyons through which the river passes are beautiful, very quiet location.

  • The Raizama is a Canyon which lies on private property. The access is only a few minutes (by car) from the town of St. George. Everything is very well taken care of. Part of the rock formations resemble a little Valley of the moon. On the back of the Canyon, you can swim between the walls, a sensational experience. Even people who can't swim using a lifejacket can enjoy it without scaring. One of the most beautiful attractions that I met. Recommend!
