Raizama waterfall, Alto Paraiso de Goias
(3.9/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
Part of a 1.8-billion-year-old plateau, Raizama waterfall is one of dozens of waterfalls cascading over ancient rock formations. The water cuts so deeply into these rocks that large canyons have formed ages ago. Modern visitors often use them as diving platforms. You can jump in for a cool swim, or choose to rappel down these age-old stone walls. The trail is steep, with wooden stairs and handrails, but it’s worth the effort to see vegetation of rare jungle plants, such as 25 different species of orchids. Birds also thrive here, and you can spot and hear them flying right over your head as you climb the trail leading up to the waterfalls. • At the entrance you are faced with a "crazy" look like a crazy party ended earlier; a stage full of style in one place unfinished. Going by the track and coming on site, huge falls carved by water.

  • Sense of peace, in addition to the beautiful view! Good track, short and well structured. Hassle-free access with simple car. When I went, there was a lot of people. During the trail, pairs of macaws flew near, completing the spectacle that nature was already dealing with the diversity of vegetation (plants of medicinal and fruit trees). Very good!
