  • After so many trips in the Chapada finally met the waterfall from the abyss. Easily point out, it's worth picking up tips from the road: follow the dirt road when the asphalt to Saint George, when you have the first fork follows straight on the track, if you take the left will give the antennae, next fork right and you'll be in the parking lot to follow the trail on foot, to arrive in a very nice house which offers coffee and pay a fee of $15 per person. From this point are 1 mile to waterfall and two miles to the window. The waterfall is amazing, wonderful view from the infinity-edge printing, wells has wells for bathing. The view from the window is also too much, it's worth knowing that after the falls still takes 1:00 to the window, and heavier track back the ascent is steep. My advice is to go early to do the window with the low sun and then enjoy the waterfall to relax. Remember enough water and food!

  • I was only up to the waterfall of the abyss! The trail to the first well is quiet, wide open, then it gets a little steeper. Once there, a magnificent view! Have to go to the window you get another track, difficult level!

  • In the rainy season (nov to April) you can see the waterfall of the abyss with crystal-clear water and Golden-looking beautiful! After a waterfall you can follow the trail to the lookout point of the window--I and my friend that we're young and skinny, have suffered a lot. Requires a physical and psychological preparation, but it is possible. Not recommend for children and the elderly (ever!). It's a trail that has bigger rocks than a person.. with fixed wooden ladders on the rocks making up 90 degrees. On the way back we got lost and luckily we were found by another group that was moving. Although difficult, it is worth the sense of resilience and to see to the bottom that waterfall Jumps track (120 m drop). Take water, sunscreen, proper shoes, snack, raincoat, phone with battery (for incredible as it sounds, get some points if you need help). Admission is 15 reais and if you are staying in St. George and without a car (as was my case!), ask for a ride to the parking lot of the waterfall from the abyss. This tour lasts all day and it's quite tiring. Many people said that it was quiet, easy or moderate. But then I found out that is the most difficult trail in the region. Note: the signs throughout the track is bad! And be long, probably you will be alone in a large part of the trail, so if you're inexperienced as was my case, I recommend you to join other groups not to get lost in the hardest parts (steep stones). Enjoy!!!
