  • In the rainy season (nov to April) you can see the waterfall of the abyss with crystal-clear water and Golden-looking beautiful! After a waterfall you can follow the trail to the lookout point of the window--I and my friend that we're young and skinny, have suffered a lot. Requires a physical and psychological preparation, but it is possible. Not recommend for children and the elderly (ever!). It's a trail that has bigger rocks than a person.. with fixed wooden ladders on the rocks making up 90 degrees. On the way back we got lost and luckily we were found by another group that was moving. Although difficult, it is worth the sense of resilience and to see to the bottom that waterfall Jumps track (120 m drop). Take water, sunscreen, proper shoes, snack, raincoat, phone with battery (for incredible as it sounds, get some points if you need help). Admission is 15 reais and if you are staying in St. George and without a car (as was my case!), ask for a ride to the parking lot of the waterfall from the abyss. This tour lasts all day and it's quite tiring. Many people said that it was quiet, easy or moderate. But then I found out that is the most difficult trail in the region. Note: the signs throughout the track is bad! And be long, probably you will be alone in a large part of the trail, so if you're inexperienced as was my case, I recommend you to join other groups not to get lost in the hardest parts (steep stones). Enjoy!!!

  • It's very tiring, but worth it! Go prepared, are many descents and ascents in rugged terrain. It is best to go with a guide, but you can go alone just look better the famous point of the window. As a tip, let our trail on Wikiloc (# 16197245)

  • Unfortunately by the time I arrived, I couldn't complete the trail to the lookout. But I can tell you that you need to prepare. Signaling to the location is not good. Where for the car and walks up to where you pay the entry ($ 10) is already enough to tire (at least for someone who is sedentary like me, lol). I don't remember the name of Mister who takes care of input, but very hospitable, but talk a LOT. I advise go early!
