  • Wow, very cool this waterfall. It was the first of the trip and already worth it. The access is not within the city and to walk I also don't advise, because it is some 25 km of the city, but a bike should be pretty cool, too bad the rent there is nothing inviting, in fact, the city is well pop and prices have risen so much. Well, it's private property, then pay R$ 15.00 per person to visit the 3 waterfalls (almécegas 1 and 2 and são bento), evaluate each separately. We left the car in the parking lot and walk about 30 minutes up the trail, which is super quiet, it was raining much in the day, the worst time to go is in January and February, because it rains too much, which leaves almost impenetrable and the waterfalls that can dive are dirty because of the rain. But anyway ... She's very big and imposing, has a big fall and give tb to get on top of her and swim. Of course I entered that mega cold water! The fall of the waterfall is very strong, hard to get into it, because the current throw you out and is deep the well, all this makes it difficult to stay relaxed out there in the water. Worth every penny and every drop of sweat. Who observe the pastures on the way, will be able to pamper themselves with some tidbits of smurfs on the way.

  • Fazenda são Bento is on the road between Alto Paraíso and São Jorge, the farm is very easy and is posíivel go by car or bicycle. Upon arriving at the farm are charged the actual 20 entry per person, and you can access 3 cacheiras inside the property: Almecegas I, Almecegas II and Cachoeira de São Bento (which is easier to access). We arrived at the farm and follow straight to the waterfall trail Almecegas I. The trail features steep points, with the blazing sun is not an easy track. Not recommend be done with children and the elderly because there are points of ascent and descent steep as well, which can make the journey stressful. The arrival at the head of the waterfall is a beautiful view, there are 2 viewpoints on arrival where you can take pictures. From there begins the descent to the foot of the waterfall, at this point it is necessary care and attention because it is a steep and slippery descent, despite having strings where one can hold down. The water is extremely cold, but still we swam until the fall.

  • With a unique Lookout, this waterfall gives a show of strength and lightness at the same time. It is worth putting the car in the gravel or walking.
