  • For those who do not know or have experience with caves, the cave of the Itambé offers a first contact with two small halls, an accessible by water and another by a narrow passage. Unfortunately it's all pinned for a long time (there are more than 200-year-old writings, which do not cease to be curious) and there's a religious altar fully descaracterizando site. The cave is reached in a short walk, less than 10 minutes. Walking a little further, the Cachoeira do Itambé, which is quite high and scenic in the rainy season, but by the reports that I've heard is pretty weak in winter and not worth the visit. The well for bath is well reduced and sometimes gets too crowded, given the low supply of eco-tourism in the region, taken long ago by coffee farms and sugar cane. I visited a Carnival and found clean good to many people. Also visit the restaurant/near fishing, on the same road. Free attraction.

  • Hiking requires little of the visitor. The path is a straight line until you reach the cave. Majestic and beautiful. Perhaps most indicative boards lack explanatory and (even with low risk, jaywalkers may want to venture out and go down). The waterfall, some 500 m from there is very simple and easy. Unfortunately no water was falling when we arrived.

  • I would give 5 stars if I could do rappelling there, but is open only to visitors, but okay ... Excellent place, strong smell of Woods and the perfect nature, the caves so cool everything, I always go there! Show de bola!

  • Very beautiful, and it is very good to learn more of geology and biology. There you will find several species of animals, and the rock formation of the cave and waterfall. I particularly go into the cave without any kind of guide, but for those who don't know a lot about her or afraid, I recommend you go with a guide.

  • The track and ' Nice and very pretty, with a grotto riozinho that runs through it. And ' necessary to take a guide to enter the cave. I went without a guide and just stayed on the starters. Next to the cave has a trail that ends in a seawall with a very nice waterfall. I went to observe birds and saw some 12 species, but June is not the best epocas for that.
