  • The city of Alcobaça is a simple place with a very friendly and caring population. I knew the church square where the bakery, the Town Hall, and the city library. The post office is also nearby. I haven't been able to visit the library and not the Church as it was closed during the hours that I was there. In the square of the dagua box are ice-cream parlor, restaurant, cafeteria, açai, pharmacy, banks, Bradesco, BB CEF, Siscoob. There are a few pizzerias and restaurants, but out of season not all were open. There are several other types of trade as in other cities, but only spent quickly by there when I was going out of town. There are no urban bus and taxi only for locomotion (who charge at least 20 real tabled), bicycles, motorcycles, mototaxi or walking down the avenida da praia which is getting very pretty even with bicycle paths. I was told that are km of beaches praia da Barra to Prado. Out of season there were not many kiosks (cabanas) running, I went to Lucia's Tent and Cal's cabin on both was very well attended. The Hotel Brisa de Abrolhos also have meals. The people I talked to reported that during high season the profile of the city totally changes. Don't forget to check first if there is your bank in the city, because in general the trade works only with money. To reach of Teixeira de Freitas has few bus schedules and takes more than 1.30 pm if you have chance to try to rent a car, I think it pays off. I loved the town we solve business but we rest for a few days. Beautiful beaches.

  • I know a lot of the beach and the city. Suitable place for family rest because it's all good "quiet" in the best sense of the word. Without losing the minimum structure for hosting (hygiene, education). The beauty of the place is simple, without quirks. Well worth staying in the city as there are many nice beaches nearby (guaratiba, ponta de areia, caravels, tororão Beach passion, cumuruxatiba).

  • The city is abandoned, the beach there was no tent running and no one on the beach. I believe that more busy in the month of January to the Carnival. One comment important is about food in Alcobaça, is hard to find restaurants with good food besides the preco but nothing attractive. The indicated to us the food was full of flies, so have to look pretty at the risk of not eating something cool!
