Fountains, Aguas de Lindoia

3.3
#7 of 15 in Things to do in Aguas de Lindoia
Águas de Lindóia is famed (and named) for its hot springs and curative waters. The centerpiece of the city is Fountains: Roberto Burle Marx designed gardens filled with mineral pools and water features, built on the very springs that first attracted the attention of Italian physician Dr. Francisco Tozzi--the founder of the first settlement in the area. Relax in the pleasant surroundings of the gardens and try out the restorative properties of the waters yourself. Our Aguas de Lindoia day trip site makes visiting Fountains and other Aguas de Lindoia attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • The square to me is the major attraction of the city. Big, with fountains, walkways, nature and lots of Capybaras. The location is very nice to spend the time, read a book, have a picnic and take the kids.

  • The square is beautiful and complements, but could be painted or have a better maintenance, not always was on during the day and when turned off those who don't know what it's about and acknowledge as the source.

  • Both during the day and night the place beautiful reserve. The care of the grass, with the animals, the sources. It's all worth it.

Where to stay in Aguas de Lindoia

Aguas de Lindoia features a surprising amount of accommodation options for its relatively small size, thanks to the city's popular hot springs and wellness getaways. Many of the city's more upscale hotels and resorts are strung out along the length of the river, usually within a few blocks of the water. The area around the lake features a number of full-service resorts and spas taking advantage of the relaxing springs, while similar resorts can also be found a little farther from the city center. Scattered throughout the city center you'll find a number of smaller, more budget-friendly bed and breakfasts and family-run hotels, though these do not offer the same on-site spa access as some of the larger chains.
