The only theme park in the country, Lion Park Resort features a separate lion enclosure, water slides, and many rides, including the tallest roller coaster in Africa. If you came to see the lions, ask for a guide at the ticket counter. A small Ferris wheel offers an encompassing view of the whole park. The park also features a shaded, paved campsite where you can spend the night (but be aware that you may be kept awake by roaring lions). Activities and rides are mostly suited for children and teenagers. Good place to visit. In a summer better go around 2 and have supper before you leave. The food is worth for the money they charge. Lots of fun especially for the children.

It was wonderful going out there for a swim in the Extreme heat of the day. However, the name is misleading; Lion Park! The Loins, 5 of them, are kept in an inclosure almost like a zoo which is situated right far back of the amusement park. Yes, amusement park which is the actual entertainment. The cost of 80 Pula for an adult is on the steep side unless they trying to keep the number of local people down. The main attraction, the wave pool, is nice however, I was there from 14:00 to 17:00 and the waves only came on four times in this period which only lasts about 10 min. Also, wherever one looks, there’s maintenance required. There’s cracks in the walls, pieces of loose cement in the pool and a big one, the metal steps to the two slides, they rusted. The top service of the steps are so ruff that children can easily cut themselves on them. Also, the music was so loud, which I understand some people like it like this but, there’s no place to escape from it. They’ve got table and chairs under a shelter, which is great if you want to sit and eat but, if one is by a pool or as they call it “. beach in the bush” then it would be great if there was a place for one to lay down a towel and lie and relax, like on the beach. This is a great concept and wonderful in the Botswana heat. Move the loins to somewhere else and turn it into a full fledged water park.

A great place to take your kids and family. Somewhat of an amusement park. In the summer you can an enjoy the artificial beach and pools. A great need in the Botswana heat. However, waitress staff is terrible.

What a clean and great place. All rides was working and life guards was helping the small kids in baby pool to slide. Lions also great viewing point.
