3.9/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web
Sarajevo Olympic Bobsleigh and Luge Track, an abandoned bobsled track overlooking the city of Sarajevo, was built for the 1984 Winter Olympics. The track was used for competitions until the siege of the city in 1992, when it served as an artillery position for Bosnian Serbs. Look for the war damages and bullet damage found in one of the last turns of the course. Today, the remnants of the track, covered in graffiti and overgrown with forest plants, are a favorite walking path for urban explorers. Currently the site is being renovated for the 2017 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival. For this follow along the course and the narrow dirt road in the Woods at the turn.
