With 8,372 confirmed deaths, the act was acknowledged as the first genocide in Europe since World War II. The exhibits present the stories of the survivors and share portraits of murdered families. You'll also witness the offensive graffiti painted on house walls and buildings by enemy forces. Galerija 11/07/95 Reviews
It is must see and important to watch videos as they tell stories of the people. Definately recommended more »
In my opinion this isn't a museum but a photo gallery that tells a story. With that being said it was a very informative way to spend a couple of hours looking at the pictures and watching the... more »
This small museum does an excellent job of showing man's inhumanity to man during the war in the 1990s. The audio guide is necessary in order to understand the poignant photographs displayed. Be... more »
Heartbreaking, intense yet beautiful. The gallery is small but it showcases a good mix of art and information about the genocide in Srebrenica, allowing the visitors to learn about the history in different angles. Even though the gallery is small, you can easily spend a day there depending how much you want to take in. My ticket was valid for two days, and I would have went back the next day if I didn’t have a flight to catch because there is just so much to digest. Highly recommend to get the audio guide since it explains a lot about the photos displayed in the gallery. The computer contains a lot of a information and small details of the whole event, while the short film is just impressive - you can really see how emotionally this genocide affects the people. I would suggest everyone to pay a visit.
One room exhibition with several photos. As the name suggests, it focus on the after match rather than the war itself. The entrance fee the the highest of all the museums I went(12 marks), and +4 marks for the audio guide (which is totally worth it). Sadly, it fells that it is too small. The quality of the photos and audio guide are great, I wish there were more. By the end of the room there are 2 movies with more than 1 hour duration, also worth your time.
A sombre, touching museum which will stay in my head for a long time. The museum is principally a photo exhibition with a detailed and harrowing audio tour which I recommend paying for. There are also a series of subtitled films about the massacre playing on a loop which are definitely worth watching. A sad experience but one that we need to be reminded of. I'd recommend visiting here after the Museum of War Crimes so that you have a good idea of the roots of the conflict and the context in which Srebrenica took place as it assumes some knowledge.
This a photograph exhibition gallery and a museum/memorial about the genocide at srebrenica in 1995. Apart from the artistic photographs the are some documentaries and short films that one should watch and videos with the life stories of some of the survivors. This a very sad place although 25 years have passed. Srebrenica must not be forgotten. the tickets lasts for two days.
A powerful and moving experience. Excellent audio guide and photography. You could easily spend many hours here - we were there for around 2.5 hours and only watched about half of the content on the computers and less than half of what was on the TVs.
