4.5/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web
Take in a distinctly Bosnian blend of East meets West at Old Bridge Area of the Old City of Mostar. Walk along cobblestone streets and see traces of Ottoman architecture and Renaissance structures while you listen to people of different religious affiliations and ethnicities. Within minutes you can encounter Cyrillic, Latin, and Arabic writings, Austro-Hungarian neoclassical houses, Italian ice cream eateries, and Turkish baths, all coexisting in strange harmony. Snap a photo of the town's highlight, the Ottoman bridge: originally built in 1566, it fell during the Yugoslav conflicts and was rebuilt in 2004. • Mostar is called by many little Istanbul by their Turkish heritage. The city is pleasant and full of good and cheap restaurants and shops. This bridge is very well preserved and deserves a lot of pictures.
