Flowing under the famed Ottoman bridge, the emerald-green Neretva River stretches 225 km (140 mi), offering  popular sites for rafting excursions and highlighting the area's diverse ecosystems. Known as the setting for numerous battles and historical events, the river has strong cultural implications for the Ottoman era and World War II.
