  • Very eye opening but also very heart wrenching so sad to see the cruelty of human beings to others. Must see and pray for peace

  • Intense - Beautiful and Haunting. A small museum, put together by victims. I liked the original presentation - Items and descriptions from common folks. It is only about 4-5 small rooms, not too overwhelming but filled with information. I teared up with the mass burial descriptions. You can spend anywhere from 30min - 2hours here. Entrance is 10 BAM for adults and a bit cheaper for kids. I've been traveling Europe for 3 months - this was one of my favorite museums.
  • Really important history of Bosnia, I highly recommend it if you are in Mostar. I found the exhibit showcased a lot of individual stories which showed a totally different perspective than a museum of nothing but straight facts. Still lots of important facts and stats, but I thought the personal stories were an excellent addition.
  • The best way to remember perhaps is not to forget. Nearby the museum beside an mosque lay down some civilian victims during that war. I saw a couple weeping over the tombstone of their deceased loved one. Nearly 30 years passed, the hurts in the heart still not faded away. May peace bless this land.
  • Memory of fallen ones is kept alive by those who remember. Touching and disturbing, when you think that such things happened so close to our times. Close to the city center, important piece of history that one has to keep in mind when traveling. If you plan to read everything and watch all the movies, you will spend at least 2 hours there. Payment only by cash, no card.
  • I am extremely impressed by this museum and highly recommend it. It is run by victims of the war which just shows how recently it happened and the ways it is still affecting this city. The items, stories, and footage are hard to see, but it is an eye-opening and necessary story to be told. If you are in Mostar, even for a few hours, I highly recommend!!
