Come to grips with the harrowing living conditions once endured by the slaves of the salt flats at Witte Pan. Set between the blue ocean and pink-tinted salt pans, with cone-shaped salt mountains on the horizon, the location is perfect for taking some striking photographs, so don’t forget your camera. Inspect the huts that line the shore, and the cramped living conditions therein. Bear in mind that up to six people would share each of these living quarters. Hire a tour guide to get a complete picture of the area’s history. Use our Kralendijk family vacation planner to add Witte Pan and other attractions to your Kralendijk vacation plans.
