(4.7/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
Rest in a tranquil, shaded garden while tasting the world's only liquor made of cactus at The Cadushy Distillery. The liqueur uses the Kadushi cactus as its distinct ingredient, a native plant of the island also used to make a cactus soup. The cactus is combined with fresh lime juice for a tasty tropical drink. The distillery offers a variety of other exotic liquors and basics including rum, whiskey, and vodka. Expect flocks of parrots and hummingbirds in the Calbas trees above to accompany you while you drink. • Very nice set up. Very nice and interesting explanation of the process had a very friendly and enthusiastic young lady called Tecla. She has us all 6 different liquors. Very delicious. But our preference was to their very special whisky and rum. Two bottles of whiskey purchased for a cozy winter evening in dutchieland. Tecla thanks!

  • If you're looking for something to do other than dive while in Bonaire check out this distillery. It's about 30 minutes outside a downtown in well worth the drive. They offer free samples along with t...  more »

  • Pretty cool to learn the history and sample the only cactus liquor in the world. Something you must do even if you aren't really a drinker. If you don't have checked luggage you can purchase bottles that will fit in a quart zip lock your carry on (at am angel). Best one to use is the zip lock with a flat bottom. Also the Cactus teas in loose leaf form, can be purchased but not sampled. The teas don't need to be checked or in a zip lock for your carry on.
  • Loved this place! Got an interesting, informative and funny explanation of the process Cadushy uses to make it's products from Petri. Tasted most of their products and brought home a bottle of the Reserve Rum (Fantastic rum!) and 6 small bottles of the Island Liqueurs. Wife loves the Liqueurs and I love it all! Recommend the tour and their products! Only wish I could order online!
  • part of a cruise trip excursion, an island tour with a stop at this distillery. The rum is pricey but worth it! Sadly we only bought one bottle of Rom Rincon and a few of the sampler bottles.
  • What a great establishment. The "tour" was very interesting and the samples were delicious. Timmy was a fantastic host.
  • Cactus spirits is different and delicious. Who knew you could do this, and rum? Stop by and taste.
