#2 of 15 in Nature in Bonaire
Take a boat ride to the tiny islet of Klein Bonaire, and enjoy unspoiled natural beauty. Just 800 m (2624 ft) from Bonaire’s mainland, the uninhabited island of “Little Bonaire” was privately owned until 1999, when it became part of the Bonaire National Marine Park. Visit the deserted, isolated island for a day of peace, relaxation, and excellent snorkeling. The crystal clear waters allow you to explore the island’s tropical reefs and spot diverse marine life, such as sea turtles and flamingos. The island has no facilities, so you have to bring everything you need with you. • We went snorkelling in Klein Bonaire and there were way too much tourists in this beach in our opinion. I would skip this experience myself. Reefs were not also in such a good condition in this spot. ...  more »

  • Excellent coral reef and wildlife. The beach is also very sandy all the way into the water making an easy entry. We used the water taxi from harbor village that dropped us off up wind and allowed us to drift down until we landed on the beach. Of all the places I’ve snorkeled on his island this had the best fish and corals. We saw three turtles within 40 minutes. The island is great has zero development except a few huts for shade by the beach pick up zone.
  • This happy island is perfect for a holiday any time of the year. It's very small and touristic. Enough brand named shops and of course the local shops for your souvenirs are all over the island. US dollars is accepted but they have their own currency, so please ask before shopping though most places will display the prices in both currencies. You will not be bored because there's enough beaches for everyone and a lot of water sport activities. You can experience some of the best snorkeling in Bonaire! The food from most eateries, hmmmm finger licking 😙.
  • It's unbelievable coral reef and affordable even for kids (very near to the sea shore). Super location for snorkeling👍🏼 Azure water color turns to deep aquamarine and the sand almost white color. Also colorful fishes, crabs and different types of corals.
  • My favorite beach in the whole wide world. Solitude at its finest.
  • I snorkeled here. Was in a spot where I could see main Bonaire. Swam to the shore from where the boat anchored to bouey. Gorgeous. Tons of fish, corals, and sponges. Beautiful clear water.
