For a chance to observe these beautiful and unusual looking birds in their natural habitat, take a trip to Flamingo Sanctuary, and drive around its picturesque shores. The birds have a lot of protected space here to catch and eat the pink shrimp they feed on, and the lake offers many great photo opportunities. Flamingos are here in abundance, and from January to July the lake is home to upwards of 15000 birds. Bring your binoculars to get a better view of the birds. Flamingo Sanctuary is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Kralendijk Edition.
