Geiser Sol de Manana, Uyuni
(4.4/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
Set within a geothermal field in an area of intense volcanic activity, Geiser Sol de Manana actually represents a steam pool of boiling mud frequently spouting muddy water. The hot steam of the "geyser" reaches heights of between 3 and 50 m (10 to 164 ft) depending on the pressure. Walk over the sulfur springs field while watching the gurgling, bubbling mud and boiling lava--but don't get too close to the holes, since there are no railings you can hold on to. With our world travel planner, Uyuni attractions like Geiser Sol de Manana can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • This large field of geysers is one of the most stunning attractions of the Salar de Uyuni for those who never saw a geyser. Unlike its neighbor Geysers del Tatio in Chile, this field has its geysers more close to each other, the smell of sulphur is more intense and you can see the water bubbling in their small craters. The emotion is so worth face the cold sunrise to know this place. Be careful not to slip and burn with the geysers. Included in tours of three days by the Salar de Uyuni.

  • It's good to see up close what they usually see only on TV ... it's worth it to get up early to watch this show

  • There is a giant, really large geyser. They are not as many as the Chile, but if this very large. Beware of approaching much, there is no demarcation to where you can be reached, prevent accidents.
