Geiser Sol de la Manana, Uyuni

(550+ reviews on the web)
Hot Spring
Set within a geothermal field in an area of intense volcanic activity, Geiser Sol de la Manana actually represents a steam pool of boiling mud frequently spouting muddy water. The hot steam of the "geyser" reaches heights of between 3 and 50 m (10 to 164 ft) depending on the pressure. Walk over the sulfur springs field while watching the gurgling, bubbling mud and boiling lava--but don't get too close to the holes, since there are no railings you can hold on to. With our world travel planner, Uyuni attractions like Geiser Sol de la Manana can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • You get to almost 5,000 metres. to attend a show of nature's awesome and wonderful. This is a geothermal field, lost in nowhere, where you can enjoy the ROARs and the puffs of the Earth in solitude. Us the day before we had been to the Tatio in Chile, another wonderful show, except that the Tatio had forced to share the show with a multitude of people here, however, between the boiling hot mud, sulphurous miasma, roars and puffs from the depths of the Earth, you can relax in the solitude and contemplation of the immense power of nature without being subject to code or having to attend unlikely selfie of tourists. Not to be missed.

  • You could suffer from high altitude disease so be careful! This place is fun but the big geyser is not natural! you can also enjoy hot spring nearby.  more »
  • They are geysers of steam, are very high and are not very prepared for tourists, but they are included in the tour to Uyuni.
