  • Great museum with a huge collection of new and ancient indigenous art.
  • This is NOT the ASUR Museum of Indigenous Art. The institution located on San Alberto is the CETUR Community Tourism Center. Go to the Recoleta to visit the original ASUR Museum of Indigenous Art and textile museum founded in 1990 for a much better experience. Where to stay in Sucre

With building restrictions in place for decades, the city of Sucre has developed a little differently than most other cities on the continent. However, the touristic appeal of Sucre has driven up demand for accommodations--now slotted in old, colonial-era buildings rather than new-build high-rises. This development ethos has worked well, with lodgings in Sucre's center among the most comfortable and characterful in the country. Exclusive options cluster around the town's prettiest plazas, with grand rooms and fine-dining restaurants. Budget-minded visitors should explore the range of posadas (guesthouses), set in modest formerly residential buildings on the town's side streets.
