  • A Tarabuco can go on excursions ($40bs CA) or taking buses (one up to close to $1, 5bs bus terminal and a range to Tarabuco $10bs) trip is approximately 1, 5 hours. The village of Tarabuco itself does not have much to offer more than its market, but equally worthwhile. Tapestries and textiles are incredible, a sample of their culture!

  • We must reach Tarabuco, a little more than one hour of journey away, Sunday you can visit the handicraft market, very good prices, especially in garments of alpaca. Also share cultural traditions attached with its people.

  • The 3 different markets (food, cattle, textile) are nice, but not so special as announced. For a Sunday morning, you can stroll here relaxed. The bus leaves at 8:30 from the main square and is back again at 15: 00.

  • Almost everything you could ever need or want in one place
  • The mercado campesino is really worth a visit. It is definitely the better market than the mercado central. The variety of vegetables, fruits, fresh slaughtered meat, bloody chicken feet and fruit salads and the corresponding juices are amazing! For lunch there is a large variety of food stands where many (only) locals eat. The soup e.g. costs only three Bolivianos (approx 0.50 US$). Nearby you can find another market with dried Llama embryos offered to buy as a gift for the Pachamama.
  • Pretty nice, cheap and nice food
  • Great for produce!
  • Is everything. Hygiene is not the forte of the site
