  • Tarabuco on Sunday is a busy, large, local market where area residents come to buy, sell, barter, and trade ideas. There is a "food court" area if you become hungry. Most of the vendors are authentic,...  more »

  • We went to the market by public bus and it was well worth the effort. Locals wear their finest clothes to sell all sorts of products. Great place to buy souvenirs or anything else!  more »

  • Almost everything you could ever need or want in one place
  • The mercado campesino is really worth a visit. It is definitely the better market than the mercado central. The variety of vegetables, fruits, fresh slaughtered meat, bloody chicken feet and fruit salads and the corresponding juices are amazing! For lunch there is a large variety of food stands where many (only) locals eat. The soup e.g. costs only three Bolivianos (approx 0.50 US$). Nearby you can find another market with dried Llama embryos offered to buy as a gift for the Pachamama.
  • Pretty nice, cheap and nice food
  • Great for produce!
  • Populous Center of supply is popular in the city of Sucre, a wide range of goods ranging from food, clothes enseres household to household appliances. The market is congested at the end by public transport.
