Samaipata/Santa Cruz Road, Santa Cruz

3.4
#2 of 6 in Outdoors in Santa Cruz
Enjoy the remarkable scenery as you drive along Samaipata/Santa Cruz Road. The old road connecting the ruins at Samaipata with the city of Santa Cruz spans 120 km (75 mi), offering memorable views and some points of interest to add to your trip. Make stops along the way, including a colossal red rock jutting out from the landscape and a serene crater lake near the rim of a volcano. Drive carefully--the poorly maintained road can be dicey, especially after heavy rainfalls. Take a look at our Santa Cruz attractions planning site to schedule your visit to Samaipata/Santa Cruz Road and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

Wanting to isolate themselves from the city noise, and find a nice place to enjoy the mild climate of the affection of the hospitable people, learn the history of the incas and their last attempt of expansion into the Middle East reflected in the natural monumewnto of the strong that even the UFOlogists associated extraterrestrial contacts, enjoy fresh fruits "of the plant on your palate", its rich gastronomy of country, and everything nice for tourists. A good lunch or dinner to no more 7 dollars. If so, Samaipata. To breathe freshness and purity

This place is simply amazing. Who is in love with Andean culture, you find out so much. Stay on the outskirts, take one or 2 hours by car from SC. do not forget to take with you that permission of entry into the country because in a barrier can ask and if you don't have at hand (b) can be a headache. The ruins show a Citadel with Royal houses, altars and places of Commerce. Is accessed with hiring a driver to take you to the location. I couldn't find companies specialized in this city transport-pro site. Value is negotiated and the universal law of tourism that have people to share the transport, is you pay for unused places.

To visit ask a taxi you take at the start of the collectivos to Samaipata. It's worth a visit. The ride and a bit long we go during the day. And you arrange with the driver for any organizing. Visit the Museum and the Inca ruins.
