Catedral de la Ciudad de Potosi, Potosi

4/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web
A relic of the 19th century, Catedral de la Ciudad de Potosi boasts a mix of Baroque and neoclassical styles. The minor basilica was built of stones and two bricks, with a dome and two towers. Step inside to find relics of silver and gold, as well as views of the surrounding cities from the bell towers. Though you may find the grand facade somewhat bare, the ornate interior compensates with white pillars and gold accents. Strictly speaking, you can only access the church during scheduled masses--otherwise you'll have to plead with the groundskeeper during off times. • The interior is in works, can not be entered through the main door which is the most beautiful. You can climb up the tower and has good views of the city and the rich Hill.

  • It is an architectural jewel of the many who are in Potosi. It is a vantage point with a beautiful view, but almost 100 steps that climb at 4060 meters. Courage, it is worthwhile. The floor of wood is the original and is located in excellent state of conservation, the wonders of the climate dry and cold
