  • Very interesting visit. The best of Potosi, along with the visit to the mines of Cerro Rico. The guide told us interesting things about the history of the building and the city. The Museum is very well-equipped, with very good exhibitions. An essential Potosi.

  • In Potosí, is one of the "must-see". It must be borne in mind that it can only be visited with a guide, well-established on the day shift. I.e., the tour is along with dozens of tourists who are interested in pose and take pictures than in learning about the history of the place. They are almost two hours and only the first rooms are impressive, those are where the machinery used in the colony to mint coins. Very little time to APPRECIATE the numismatic collection. Outside of that, silverware, pinacoteca and mineral room well may be encountered in other museums.

  • One of the best preserved antique mints in the world. Amazing to be able to see the transition from horse and cart to steam and eventually electricity. Also had an extensive coin collection on display during my visit. Well worth a look!
  • Must see. There is still plenty left of the old mint. The silver was from the rich mount of Potosí.
  • One of the most interesting museum I've seen! The guides tour was great, the location is fantastic and the history of mint in Potosi is fascinating. There are also quite a few old machines which were used in the production of coins.
  • We found the visit to the Moneda extremely interesting, and had the opportunity of going around the well restored builing as we lived in both Paraguay and Bolivia for four years. A visit not to be missed when visiting Potosi....but look out for the ladrons!
  • Definitely a must visit place!!
