Palacio del Congreso Nacional, La Paz

(3.4/5 based on 80+ reviews on the web)
Located in the heart of the city next to the presidential palace, Palacio del Congreso Nacional serves as the seat of Bolivia's congress. Once a convent and college, today the government building houses both the Senate and House of Representatives. As you gaze at this classic example of colonial architecture, look up at the clock above the main entrance. One of the more interesting features of the building, its numbers are in reverse order of a regular clock. Our La Paz family vacation planner makes visiting Palacio del Congreso Nacional and other La Paz attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • It is a beautiful building. Look and watch the numbers are arranged around the back. Along with the other buildings, including the Cathedral looks right when you did not put in an effort in the Park, I took pictures.

  • The National Congress of Bolivia is right next to Plaza Murillo, in the Centre of La Paz. I am not sure whether this symbol of democracy is open to the public so this time had to settle for a good loo...  more »
  • In conjunction with the Plaza Murillo, the Palace of Evo (with guards at the door) and the Cathedral are worth visit. This also the kilometer zero of Bolivia, as it is a set of buildings public does not have free access to the interior.
