Palacio del Congreso Nacional, La Paz

(3.5/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web)
Located in the heart of the city next to the presidential palace, Palacio del Congreso Nacional serves as the seat of Bolivia's congress. Once a convent and college, today the government building houses both the Senate and House of Representatives. As you gaze at this classic example of colonial architecture, look up at the clock above the main entrance. One of the more interesting features of the building, its numbers are in reverse order of a regular clock. Our La Paz family vacation planner makes visiting Palacio del Congreso Nacional and other La Paz attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • In conjunction with the Plaza Murillo, the Palace of Evo (with guards at the door) and the Cathedral are worth visit. This also the kilometer zero of Bolivia, as it is a set of buildings public does not have free access to the interior.

  • This building constructed at the colonial time, is very well preserved and gives him on the Murillo square a majestic air. However it is rare to visit inside but if you knew a personality, he may visit you allow. University students can do through the teacher. It's worth a look, it's really beautiful all this Carrara marble, the beauty of the rooms, is a visit not to be missed... The agencies guides can do...

  • Like the Palace of Government, is facing the Plaza Murillo. The architecture is beautiful but nothing more. The area boasts safety but traffic is generated.
