#1 of 102 in Sightseeing in Bolivia
Landmark Tourist Spot
Look down over La Paz from a bird's perspective by traveling on Mi Teleferico, the world's longest urban cable car system. You'll cover a distance of more than 10 km (6.2 mi), down from the neighboring city of El Alto into La Paz, the world's highest-altitude administrative center. Many locals use the cable car as their main form of public transport, so tickets remain relatively inexpensive. Alight at any of one of the 10 stations along the route. By using our La Paz trip itinerary builder, you can arrange your visit to Mi Teleferico and other attractions in La Paz.

  • The ride is pretty cheap, 3 bolivianos per person. You get a could view of the city and it takes you all the way up to el alto. Only nice thing to do in La Paz.  more »
