Explore Torotoro National Park, a small protected area in the Bolivian Andes. Hike through mountains and deep canyons, some of which become completely inaccessible in the rainy season. The park is mostly known for its 2,500 dinosaur footprints from the Cretaceous period, but you can also view interesting rock formations, vast caverns, and other stunning natural landscapes. Descend 800 steps into Vergel Canyon, a spot filled with lush greenery, emerald pools, and cascading waterfalls. Along the way you may see fossils and dinosaur bone fragments, or spot colorful parakeets and macaws. Put Torotoro National Park and other Cochabamba attractions into our Cochabamba travel itinerary maker, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • A spectacular place where you can appreciate the nature and participate in it, beautiful for young people and in good physical condition. The sad thing is that in the absence of any security or conditions, then older people or with a physical problem can not participate in any walk, it would be interesting to have investment on the part of the Government to make this a tourist place suitable for all kinds of people, so the possibilities of enjoying would be greater. Really must have been the chance for both types of people, who seek adventure and those who wish to know and enjoy the outdoors by simply relax and appreciate the beauty of nature, but there are no conditions may not ever participate

  • Quite nice National Park. Quite clean in contrast to other places in Bolivia. The Park can be entered only with guides. You should be careful with what the guides tell or use your own mind. Not all seemed geologically very conclusive in any case to be what the guide told me. Highlights for me were Cañon, Vergel and Caverna. I strongly advise to visit the Cementerio de Tortugas. In the fenced area, one will find not much except for some bone fragments and a crocodile bite out of Red Earth. The only two turtles of the cemetery is located in the Museum.
