Tour literary heritage at National Library and Archives of Bhutan, a collection of rare books and photographs. Set in a traditionally designed four-story temple with a small ornate shrine on every floor, the library preserves xylographic blocks, manuscripts, and microfilms important to Bhutanese heritage. Established in 1967, the library also houses the largest certified published book in the world, at 1.52 m (5 ft) high and 2.13 m (7 ft) wide, weighing 60.32 kg (133 lb). Photos of the royal family are hung from the walls, and you can buy souvenirs in the bookshop. • This is the place to go for Bhutanese history and culture . Very well made up and illustrative. Glimpses of history , art , flora and fauna under one roof.
  • The big draw is the worlds largest book which is displayed in the library and also available on sale (but you will need to figure out how to carry it home). Has a large collection of texts.
