Tobacco Bay, St. George

Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web
Head down to an active and historic stretch of Bermuda's coast at Tobacco Bay. Rental shacks supply gear for a variety of water sports and activities, including paddleboarding, snorkeling, and kayaking. Cool off in the relaxing onsite restaurant and cafe, serving up locally caught fish and cold beer. Although now exclusively a place of recreation and relaxation, this spot has also had a role in historical events: a group of Bermudians sympathetic to the American independence movement stole gunpowder from the British in St. George's and loaded it onto ships at the bay. Tobacco Bay is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, St. George Edition.
