4.5/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web
One of the oldest cast iron lighthouses in the world, Gibb's Hill Lighthouse was built in 1844 by the British Army Royal Engineers. The 117 feet (35 m) tall lighthouse stands on top of Gibb's Hill and features a plaque and viewpoint that commemorates the visit of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Climb the 185 steps to the top of the lighthouse to be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of the area. Visit the lighthouse tea room, in the restored cottage of the lighthouse keeper, for a meal at the foot of the tower. • If you climb the lighthouse, you have such a spectacular view of the island. There is also a nice gift shop at the lighthouse as well.
  • We loved visiting here back in May 2016. It was a bit rainy but we got lucky to have a moment of clear skies. We arrived on a scooter. Easy access, plenty of parking if no cruise ships. Nice stocked up affordable souvenir shop. The views from the top are just phenomenal! You can see the entire island. There is a very small fee. There restrooms available as well. Definitely a must when in Bermuda.
  • Great view and some souvenirs. parking is terrible when cruise ship docks but worth the ride and crowd.
  • Had a great anniversary dinner for our 20th! This was our second trip to Bermuda so we knew exactly where we wanted to celebrate and enjoy the out of this world experience!
  • Great view of everything! Very low priced admission and great souvenirs!
  • Phenomenal views of Bermuda from the top of the lighthouse and a lovely, quaint cafe. The perfect spot for a traditional codfish and potatoes breakfast.
