Gaze over the Hamilton harbour from Fort Hamilton, a fort originally built in the 1870s to protect the harbour from possible attacks by American forces. Today it offers wonderful views of the bay and surrounding landscape. Bring some food and have a picnic among the wonderful mixture of tropical plant life that lines the maintained lawns. Relax in the sun to the sounds of a ceremonial bagpipe performance, followed by an informative presentation on the fort's history.
