#Outdoor Activity, #Must See
Unwind in the lush greenery surrounding calm waters at Bab's Dock, a private lake owned by a Belgian couple. Swim, canoe, sail, play volleyball, or just lie in a hammock in this retreat on the the water's edge. A thatched terrace shelters a European-style restaurant with tables and decks made of local wood. Afterwards, take a stroll on the long boardwalk stretching out over the lake's still surface. You need to call in advance so they can send a designated boat for you, taking you from the parking lot to the restaurant through a thick mangrove forest. • 20 km outside Cotonous, guarded car park. Out of the car, it goes in the little boat, and already the 10 minute driving a staggered through the mangroves in an other world. Babs dock itself is a destination restaurant, looking on to the lagoon. Swimming, paddling, sailing possible, the latter two can be borrowed. The food is simple but good and hearty (seafood!). The local operation is the Manager, a Belgian, a little gnarled very friendly, but correct. For children there are animals in the cage (monkeys, donkeys), the crocodile in the narrow rings is very sad. Audience fortunately very mixed, the local middle-class as well as the Expads and eco-tourists. Recommended and not too expensive.

  • Atypical very nice place to spend a Sunday with family. Access is by boat. The place is kept and green which makes it even more interesting. The food is simple but the aim is above all go to relax. Children can make a little boat with a ' nice monitors. I recommend this place. FYI it is also possible d there overnight. Nice rooms equipped with water with dry toilet rooms are available.

  • Relax, relax, destress, but not true restoration. A few monkeys or crocodiles, catamaran and canoes. Very simple food: chicken roast or Braised with French fries, alokos, salad or rice Bar bar full original canoe access to motor through the mangrove

  • A good place for tourists and locally-based people alike. One star reduction for having animals in sad cages (don't understand why they need it) and another star reduction for the quick encounter with the toilet after eating salad here. Stick to cooked food and you'll be fine :)
  • Im in Cotonou..but if theres a monkey in a cage....i wont support...
  • Heaven in Cotonou .... Love to be there
  • A cool place to hang out
  • Its a nice place, but please free that minkey in the cage...
