Santa Rita is a ceremonial ground. The Maya used it for weddings and other stuff. It's so awesome, to set foot at a place and feel so relaxed and at peace.
Not as big as some of the ruins in Belize, but Santa Rita is no less important to Mayan history. And it's in a beautiful setting within walking distance of downtown Corozal.
Beautiful small but has much historical significance to the Town!
Interesting site but not as well excavated as others.
