Nice park, clean pool, good food. No playground.
Went on this excursion (Carnival Glory). The brochure said A relaxing day by the pool (very nice pool) and take a walk thru a botanical/medicinal garden.... and they included LUNCH.... Our tour guide Lourdes was amazing she gave us soooooo much History of the country.. As we drove thru Belize City and pointed out the various landmarks. They offered Bike trails and Horseback riding. I didn't sign up for that... For 40$ ... I AM SUPER SATISFIED with the stuff I did get..... THERE are BUGS... NO ANIMALS so don't go looking for any.... They had food (buffet style) Rice and Beans/Peas, Stew Chicken, Potato Salad, Plantains.. all you could eat.... the authentic Caribbean Sunday dinner type feel.... I would go back and do this again... they also had FREE WIFI and a CASH bar... #winning
I went there on a day excursion from the Norwegian Jewel. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The mountain bikes could had been in better shape as that was why I was there - to mountain bike in the jungle. Our guide, Darren was great - he explained the local fauna and flora; he even gathered nuts and termites to taste. The lunch buffet was made of local favorites, but the only thing I could eat was the chicken as I don't consume starches - which was fried plantains and a potato cooked in coconut. Drink prices are high - so bring your own water. I also enjoyed the walking medicinal plant tour.
Wonderful getaway for family time.
