This gracious mansion at the end of Regent Street is one of Belize City's most important political and historical landmarks. For over 150 years, it was the seat of colonial government and private residence for a series of Superintendents, Lieutenant Governors and Governor's sent from Great Britain, and the first Governor General of an independent Belize.

  • Just across from the main Cathedral, Government House is in the style of the US southern mansions and is where leading figures visiting Belize stayed back when it was the capital. QEII stayed here on ...  more »

  • Great locality for an outdoor wedding.

  • Located in the old Government House was used during the British Honduras Belize flags fluttering. Was built around 1810. I said during the independence of Belize was used as a guesthouse. From this day on Sunday couldn't enter.
