This gracious mansion at the end of Regent Street is one of Belize City's most important political and historical landmarks. For over 150 years, it was the seat of colonial government and private residence for a series of Superintendents, Lieutenant Governors and Governor's sent from Great Britain, and the first Governor General of an independent Belize.

  • Rich history to see and great water views. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We arrived on a day off but they let us walk through on our own without charge. So sweet.
  • Government house has interesting historical exhibits. Take the time to read the letters and journal entries to get a sense of colonial Belize (British Honduras). The grounds and view are lovely!
  • Belize of truth surprises naturally, its environment is amazing, but to even with their customs English, is very poor, missing many resources of health, education, roads, communication, think that is a jewel by explore pair ael tourism
