  • We had heard many positive things about this park in advance, and our expectations were already high. And yet we were not disappointed! This is not a professional park Planckendael, genre or Antwerp Zoo. This is a park in full expansion, with its inconveniences. Slijkerige paths, sometimes unclear signage, ... But it had us right away. The animals come here clearly on the first place. The money that comes in is used primarily to the residents as comfortable as possible. And I had the impression that it worked. Came here and there you can learn more about their sometimes sad past. Still, the animals very relaxed, a sign that they were well cared for. The animal keepers were very communicative and all spoke with passion about the animals. We were there in the winter, at a time when it is very quiet. We will definitely be back, but then in the summer, when the Cougar and the Cheetah is already feel at home.

  • Wild animals, by people with you get neglected, a warm home! Support the flares, they are more than worth it!!

  • Visit to the flares for wheelchair users a real disappointment! Given there is a special rate for different disabled access should you assume that this park is also accessible for these people one would think ... Nothing could be further from the truth: once you have passed the inkomhek begins the nightmare: the paths are made up of rough boards with large openings in between, with a wheelchair do you get there without prejudice. The other paths are likewise not provided for wheelchairs ... muddy, too steep slopes, stairs, doors, etc. ... The reptiles are located on the first floor and are only accessible via a steep staircase! Otherwise disabled access are therefore not welcome there. Having regard to the winter cold was housed in many animals, unfortunately the stables likewise not genteel to visit with a wheelchair. On the housing of the animals is also to say: the desert foxes were literally on top of a side to have a heating béétje heat, some monkeys sit motionless under an IR lamp to get warm, certain outdoor animals walk in a mud puddle, ... I can only hope that some animal rights organization is going to take a look there! The rates are also not clear to me: For 3 children + 1 wheelchair + 1 supervisor + 2 bags of animal feed we paid 67 euros! After one and a half hours we were back outside, a disillusionment richer ...
